Principal's Message: Dress Code reminder and a few important dates edition
Students, parents, families, and friends of KMS, this week’s message is a rare one for me to send. Yup, this message is coming to you way later in the week than typical. Nonetheless, we still have a few important items to share. Â
As a reminder from last week:Â
It’s that time of year where the days are getting longer, and the weather is getting warmer. With this comes an opportunity to remind students and families of the unified DODEA Dress Code. As of recently, the biggest challenge we have had related to dress code has been shirts that expose mid-riff (belly) and slides for footwear. CLICK ME to access the Dress Code Policy, and note that Students MUST wear: Â
- Tops with sleeves (sleeveless tops/dresses are permitted for school sponsored formal events such as prom)
- Solid clothing (not transparent or translucent) that fully covers the top and bottom from armpit to mid-thigh
- Shoes (shoes must be safe for the school environment)
- Bedroom slippers shall not be worn, except for school activities approved by the principal
- Open toe shoes with a strap across the heel are allowed
