Principal's Message: Lunch and Newsletter Vol. 1.2 edition
Principal's Message: Lunch and Newsletter Vol. 1.2 edition
Happy rainy Wednesday, KMS students, parents, families, and friends.
For those of who have been in the community for any period of time, you can attest to the fact that the weather here can be rather fickle. It is common for us to have nice clear weather in the morning and rain by lunch time, and all varieties of weather along the way. With this being true, I want to take this week’s Principal’s Message as an opportunity to remind our students to dress for the weather. Parents, your support is appreciated.
At KMS, whether rain, snow, heat, cold, etc. our students will have an opportunity to go to the red-top (recess) during lunch each day and we will only limit access if we are in a complete downpour, there is lightening (rare in our area), etc. In fact, there may have been a total of 4 times throughout the 2023-24 school year that we did not go outside. Long story short, come ready for the weather. With this, it is important to note that during lunch our kids are NOT required to go outside. Our cafeteria remains open and the library is available for students that want a quiet place to read.
