Team KMS,

As of today, we are well on our way to meeting our goal of 100% of students re-registered for next year with approximately 50% complete. Remember, May 1 is your target date and all families (returning or not) need to complete re-registration. Having accurate contact information, emergency contacts, local and US mailing addresses, and much more are very important. No kidding, you would be surprised at how many families do not have a correct phone number for a sponsor/spouse/emergency contact. Follow the links on the KMS Official website for re-registration information, it only takes 10 minutes or less, and we stand ready to assist if you need help.

Brandie Ragin has Joined the KMS team as the KMS PTSA President. She has an important message below, and she has provided some information about how you can join us in honoring our amazing staff. Supporting the KMS PTSA is simple, it’s a fun way to stay connected to a great group of people, and it’s a great way to make a positive impact on our community. Not only that, but it also doesn’t always involve a ton of time! Check out the message below for more details!

What’s going on at KMS?

  • April 29: 6th Grade Field Trip
  • May 1, 0830 in KMS Library: Coffee with Admin in the KMS Library. If you haven’t made it to one of these yet, you should totally try to make it. It’s a great way to meet with the admin team at KMS, make connections with fellow parents, learn about what’s going on at KMS, and there are always lots of laughs.
  • May 2, 1800, in bldg. 1032 Gym: Spring band concert. Even if you don’t have a kiddo in band, it’s totally worth coming. The KMS band, under direction of Joel Helston, will totally amaze you!
  • May 6-May 10: National Teacher Appreciation Week! See PTSA information below.
  • May 9, 15:15-17:00: last Student Council free movie night of the year. Movies will include Lilo & Stitch, Inside Out, and Space Jam. Sign-up’s for students open 1 week prior. Hey kids, keep an eye out in the morning announcements for details!
  • May 30, 15:30-17:30: End of the Year Block Party, Details coming soon.

What’s on the Horizon, KMS staff are finalizing plans for:

  • End of year awards ceremonies, 8th grade send-off, and grade level celebrations.
  • Yearbook distribution
  • Student Chromebook return procedures.
  • And more!
