Hello Knights,

Since today is National “Give Kids a Smile” day it seems like a perfect time to say something that will bring a smile to our students. It’s only 14 days until Spring Break!

This week’s message has carried over items from last week. Of importance, please take notice of the March 20th field trip form referenced below. It’s important that each student return this form. They received a hard copy last week; further details are below.

NOTE: Help us spread the word. KMS has a new phone number! If you have tried calling us using our old number, this would explain why there was no answer. We are currently making updates on all our communication platforms. View the KMS flyer, update your phone contacts, etc.

UPDATED! March 20th: Through partnership with the 86th AS, our students will get to get a behind the scenes experience to explore career fields focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This event is a whole school experience and is a great opportunity for our entire community to engage in a positive experience. A permission slip is coming home via seminar classes, and it is important that we receive these back from each student even if you would NOT like your student to attend. View or Download the Study Trip Permission Form for a digital copy. Completed forms may be returned to your student’s seminar teacher.

Reminders!

  • March 15 & 16: Your KMS Drama Club has been working diligently to put on a performance like none other, Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up), Ed Monk. Join us for either or both shows for a great performance and a celebration of work done well by our young thespians. Ms. Katie McCormick-Rimmler, drama teacher extraordinaire has assembled a great cast of students, and she has coordinated a humorous and engaging play. View the Bedtime Stories flyer for details.
  • March 20: School-wide field trip, Exploring STEM careers, celebrating Women’s History Month, and more with the 86th AS, “Fly Like a Girl” event.

Have a great week!

Jason James
